Investment checklist

Daily tasks

HDY:

1. Check for new stocks on the HDY screen.

2. If new stocks appear buy worth 10K at .99% of 3% yield.

3. If bought stocks do not appear on screen sell them at yesterday's close price.

or Create GTT to sell at 1.01% of 3% yield.

4. Enter the details in investment sheets along with EPS details.


ABC:

1. Check for new stocks on the ABC screen.

2. If new stocks appear buy at yesterday's close price worth 10K.

3. The stocks are meant to be held for a very long time.

4. Enter the details in investment sheets along with EPS details.


Watchlist:

1. Update watchlist based on R1, R2, and R3 rules.

2. Run the stock in value research to see if details of PE, ROE, EPS, and Debt match.

3. If the stock did not pass any of the rules do not include it in the watchlist. Rules should pass with both data in value research and morningstar.

4. Update prices from morningstar on daily basis after 8:30 AM.

5. Plan to buy if there is a 25% upside and below 20 PE at the price on the watchlist.

6. Sell if PE is 30 or above.

7. For stocks that showed red on ticker tape check if they turned green.


Weekly updates:

1. Check to see if new companies have 6 years of history.

2. If Buy.P/Cur.EPS is above 20 mark them and don't buy additional quantity. Mark them in Red.

3. Update dividends on a weekly basis and costs.

4. Check for buyback opportunities for companies I own.

5. Check if other buybacks can be profitable and the company should tender it to shareholders and not buy from the market.

6. For P/B stock purchases update book value.


Buying process:

1. For every new or additional quantity check if the rules still hold in VRO and are on the watchlist.

2. Check for recent quarterly results if they returned profit or if profits had fallen drastically.

3. Create an excel to compare both morningstar and value research data.

4. Check Buy.P/Cur.EPS this should not exceed 20 in the investments sheet for the first purchase.

5. Buy/Sell them in NSE if possible.

6. Sell at book value, 20 PE or 30 PE based on initial analysis.


When there is no money do not look at the screen.

Making a loss by following rules is good.
